what happened?

What happened to Deviant Art? I have considered reviving my account with dim hopes of "making it" on DA. I'm finally confident enough in my abilities and have created some truly decent pieces. However, I reconsider because I see the current happenings on DA and I wonder if it's even worth my while. What is defined as "true art" here is not what I think is true art.

Do you really think someone like Jackson Pollack would be big on DA? What about Emily Dickenson? Or even Stephen King?

These people are loaded with talent but I'm not sure someone would give them the time of day if they posted here.
